I come from a place where the corn comes up in rows and schools all close for the state fair. Decades have passed since corn was exchanged for prickley pears. These days my life is filled with jacks and 3 jokers. Jokers that make me laugh, love and be grateful.

And as I think about the past, I can’t help but remember not just the beginnings and the ends, but the process of growth and discovery between. A process I find in how I live my life today. A blissful walk through sunfilled days with my husband and children.

As infants they walk and their feet never touch the ground. As toddlers, they walk with uncertain legs following my strong, purposeful steps. I now walk beside them with encouragement and praise. Soon I will walk behind them as they step out on their own with faith and confidence. Thanks for taking a walk with me.
